The ability of executive functions to predict deterioration in social abstraction in adolescents with idiopathic generalized epilepsy

Abstract Background Epilepsy is a prevalent disease worldwide. Executive functions and social cognition are essential in daily living functioning, academic performance, adjustment. This study attempts to investigate the executive ability abstract concepts adolescents who have idiopathic generalized epilepsy assess if deterioration can predict concepts. Sixty with aged between 12 19 collected from neurology outpatient clinic at Sohag University Hospital Upper Egypt were compared 60 age- sex-matched healthy regarding performance on function tests tests. We used Tower test planning, design fluency cognitive flexibility, verbal fluency, Stroop (overlapping colour word test) inhibition test, which composed of part part.
